* breakfast ideas *

mother nature's apple crumble by ohsheglows

Good morning Friends!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I have been enjoying this amazing recipe for a while, and I thought it was time to share it with you.

I am obsessed with my Oh She Glows Cookbook, and of course I found this apple crumble recipe in it.

It is amazing as breakfast, snack or dessert, but make sure you heat  it up before you eat it! It tastes so much better when it's warm and it smells wonderful too.

For the filling :

* 6 to 7 cups peeled and chopped apples ( 6 to 7 apples )

* 1/3 cup Sucanat sugar or other granulated sugar ( I used honey! )

 * 1 tablespoon chia seeds

* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

* 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

For the topping :

* 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats

* 1 cup thinly sliced almonds

* 1/3 cup almond flour or almond meal

* 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

* 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

* 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut

* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

* 1/4 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees ( 190 degrees), grease an 11 by 9-inch baking dish ( use coconut oil).

2. Make the apple filling. Mix the ingredients well. Poor the apple mixture into your  prepared dish.

3. Mix the topping together.

4. Sprinkle the oat mixture all over your apples.

5. Cover the dish with foil and poke a couple of wholes in the foil. Bake it for 35-40 minutes, then uncover the dish and bake it an additional 10-15 minutes.

Enjoy!

This is my favorite treat and I am about to try it with blueberries and pears :)

Have a wonderful week!

* snacking on.. *

Good morning Lovelies!

Happy Friday!

Are you craving something sweet? Me too! :) Do not worry,I have a super easy
( HEALTHY!) snack "recipe" for you today!

All you need is : * 1 banana

                  * coconut oil
                  * cinnamon

Fry your banana slices with the cinnamon on top.

It takes about 3-4 minutes to get the right color.
When they're done you'll get the crispy outside with the gooey sweetness inside.

TIP: Use green bananas if your watching your calorie intake, they have less sugar in them. :)

They are absolutely delicious and so easy to make.

Enjoy them!

Have a wonderful weekend!

* north market *

Good morning Lovelies!

I promise this is my last post about Columbus, but I need to tell you about the amazing North Market

This was our last destination, and we decided to skip dinner at a restaurant, instead we wanted to try local things from the market.

 Wonderful macaroons, they tasted so good.

Oh my goodness! These doughnuts were amazing! My favorite one was the hibiscus raspberry one,such a great combination.

We were definitely not hungry by the time we left the market. We tried some mango lemonade and had some yummy pasta for dinner.

They have this amazing spice shop, so I had to get a chai starter, so I can make my own chai tea at home.

Make sure you visit the North Market when you're in Columbus, its such a lovely place.

Have a wonderful week!

* art walk *

Good morning Lovelies!

So a few weeks ago we went to Columbus, OH.

We didn't get to spend much time there, but we wanted to do something special.
:)

 We decided to explore the German and Italian Village to get a feel of the artsy city.
It was so much fun and I am already planning on going back for some more adventures.

Columbus was so much fun, and I am so glad we got to do some of the art walk.
You can download a map and an audio guide here, what makes everything so much easier.

My top tips for your art walk

1. wear comfortable shoes

2. bring an umbrella with you

3. print off the map and have the audio guide on your phone

4. if there is anything you really want to see, look up the address beforehand

so you won't miss it ( I had to see the huge Mona Lisa painting so we looked up the address for it :) )

5. Enjoy your walk!

Have a wonderful weekend,
